Greetings Neighbor to Plants vs Zombies!

Its just something, that one day, someone was going to imagine up. Luckily, Plants Vs Zombies was thought up by the what iv seen, “To have the most addicting games ever”, Popcap Games. There other games like Peggle , Zuma, Bejeweled 2 and others were all amazing successes, how about when Plants Vs Zombies are compared?

First off, If you have ever played “Desktop Tower Defense”, or any kinda of tower defense, then this is just another one with tons of twists. You, as a homeowner, plants plants to help defend against the zombie onslaught. The sun rays is the currency  that you use to pay for the seeds of your plants.  Sounds simple right? Well its is, however from the mass amount of Plants to choose from aswell, at the various zombies that will be attacking you.

At the first few stages the zombies are pretty slow and easy to work at however you too have only a few plants to choose from. The stages work in sets of 10 and in Half-times in the stage, you get to play some mini-games from Walnut bowling to Whack-a-Zombie and more. For beating stages you get new plants, new items, or even letters from the zombies themselves!

From just playing Adventure/story all the time, there are other things to play and enjoy, like Mini games, Puzzle and Survival and the Zen garden.

The Mini-Games is the first thing you unlock are playing story for awhile. The games are extremely unique and fun. Alas, at times they have the same mini-game but just a bit more different or harder from the last. This is still only a small problem.

Puzzle is the second set of games that you unlock after playing story for awhile. This only has 2 different set of game with one being you breaking vases and to kill all the zombies inside them. The other is Zombie based games, where instead of you controlling and spawning plants, you are spawning and controlling the zombies! You may think that this is kinda a wasted thing here, however they are still fun and very challenging at times.

Its all fun and games until, someone gets their brain eaten...

Finally the last one would be Survival. This does have any fancy mini-games for puzzles, but it does have hours of fun and challenging levels. Its simply, that you go thru each kinda environments (e.g. Roof, Pool, etc) and survive 5-10 flags (which are like stages). They have all the environments and once you get thru those you have an option to go and do them again but on ‘Hard’ Difficulty. I wrote a nice helpful tip post about doing this; Here.

Overall what is the score? Well if you loved the feel of other Popcap games, love a nice challenge that is given to Tower defense games,and can spend $20 on it then this is an Instant buy for you guys!

Survival ‘Hard’ Tips

[Note that this is just the Setup that I made and always use. There are Tons of diffrent ways to play theses. This is just the most effect to me]

Overall Plants used Through Out All Levels:

• Spikeweed
• Spike Rock
• Tall-Nut
• Pumpkin
• Magnet-Shroom
• Coffee Bean
• Peashooter
• Repeater
• Gatling Pea
• Jalapeno
• Cherry Bomb
• Sunflower

Basic Setup: Start up by planting two rows of sunflowers. This keeps up the flow of sun at a good amount. If the zombies quicken up and there are more then you think you can handle, then make on Pea Shooters or Repeaters if you have enough sun. After you start to get a good amount of sun start to make Tall-Nuts to protect yourself from zombies and special zombies that can jump over there smaller cousins. I normally make two rows of Tall-Nuts however that only if i feel like i have the sun for it or the zombies are pretty strong at the time. After you are pretty secured , start making spikeweeds on the rest of the fallow land. This is hurt the zombie before they reach the Tall-Nuts. After you have enough sun again, upgrade the Spikeweeds to Spike Rocks so that it does extra damage and destroys vehicles aswell. Extra Plants can be added latter on. Examples would be plants to go against Ballon Zombies or Miner’s. One Final Note is about the Gargantuar and this setup. They are the real only danger, next to miner’s to this setup. If you have Spike Rocks it will slow them down by alot (being it takes about 3-5 hits to kill one Spike Rock). However, when you have them, be prepared with any kind of powerful plant you have. The quicker you kill them the more likely you would have to much to re-plant. Below are the ScreenCaptured Photos I got each time I completed the Survival Games.

With the news of Halo 3 : ODST upon the horizon for Halo fans, what is there to bring? Will it be interesting, or be a huge flop? Will Firefight be what everything Bungie promises? To be your guide on the Road to Victory, here is a small preview into the world Halo 3 : ODST.

Campaign

With Multiplayer being taken away from the mix, ODST takes into an account that campaign will the the biggest part of the game, next to Firefight (Read Later). The story is rather new to most Halo players. ‘The Rookie’, a new member of the ODST, will have to find out what happened to his comrades through clues among New Mombasa streets. With the feature of ‘Free-roaming’ the empty street to find Clues. Then you relive the moment and recount of what happen to your Teammate. There are 9 missions/location to play at, and each newer then the last.

Sadly comes ODST there are a small lose with the weaponry. The Battle Rifle,  Energy Sword, Elite Plasma/Rifle and the Sentinel beam. The Battle Rifle, used in competitive Halo 3 Matches like MLG, will be missed however theres no Multiplayer. So with that the Pistol with the return of its Scope and the Silenced SMG may be you next best bet.

FireFight

The cream of the Crop. The next Big thing. Er… Well its Firefight. Its what Bungie hopes to be a great success when ODST arrives. Though, for the reviews and talk about it, its fairly hard NOT to say that Firefight will be huge. With 4 Player Co-op, you and 3 others will try to get Highscore to show how is the best of the best in the ranks of the ODST’s!

With 18 Enemies in total and 10 playable maps to survive on, ill be something that will strain hours of your freetime from you, which you could be using talking with your Girlfriend or something that involves going outside ;P

With 4 player Co-op and a addiction for a Highscore, there is an Endless Amount of fun.

Here is some more information about how it all goes down.

You start out in a starting point with weapons and heal and head outside to fight. There are waves upon waves of  enemies, consisting of 5  waves in one round, and 3 rounds in one set. With every round, you unlock a new silver skull which is used to make the fight harder. The enemies are programmed to kill and nothing more. So hiding will give no extra advantage, as well every 5 waves you will get a Brute Chieftain wave. Which constits of of 2 brute chieftains on the map either shooting with Fuel Rods or hammering with a Gravity Hammer. With each round progressing you will get a bonus round with 60 seconds of nothing but grunts will all the silver skulls on. Be carful though! If you die in a bonus round, that member must stay out till the skull if de-activated.

When your manly-ness finally runs out and you die, don’t fret you (and your team) have a pool of lives (7 in total). With a bonus round you may even be lucky to get some more extra lives when you reach a certain amount of points.

Visr mode is also a new feature to the game and its ODST. Imagine night-vision goggles and everything is outlined in different colors. For example: Red means Enemy, Green Means Friendlies/Teammates, etc, etc. Its seems to work even in the most crowd fights.

Mythic Maps and The Halo: Reach Beta

Finally, with all that out of the way there are two other things that are happening with ODST. First would be that ODST will be shipping with 3 new Multiplayer for Halo 3. This would include Heretic (Midship remake from Halo 2), Longshore and Citadel. All 3 now being able to play, all achievements in Halo 3 can be unlocked!

And with that comes something else that is a big surprise. Within ODST, you will be-able to test Halo: Reach Multiplayer beta. This is however, wont be up till later after OSDT come out.

#5: Dodge A Barrel

Its fun, Its Quick, and you get to dodge fly projectiles at you, what more could you want? Dodge a Barrel by DimmestBread is extreme fun for almost every player! The Main objective to the last man standing and get one point in the hill. This is easier said then done. The barrel isn’t taking prisoners or mercy. If it does hit you, you’ll be hit back through out the circle and killed when you get to the teleporters. Hiding doesn’t help to much unless its directly in front of the teleporters but just be careful.

#4: Distraction V2

Its fun when you go  and distract people right? Well this times its for your life! In Distraction V2 by CC Pybus, you’ll need to work to distract the sniper from shooting the fusion coils and destroying the pallet below you. If they do happen to break then you’ll end up in the pit of death!

The Tools of the trade is important here guys. Use the basic Plasma Pistol to Blind the sniper. However that wont be enough to stop him, but no fret other tools are at your disposal. The Flare to blind the sniper even more, the Needler to shoot him in an purple mist, and finally a pistol to shot the fusion coils before then even get off the main ramp!

#3: Mt.Mongoose

Call it Hill 88 if you want to, its just a deadly hill with falling explosions and soldiers atop shooting missiles at you. In Mt. Mongoose by Morphine, your goal is simple. Make it to the top of the hill and capture the territory. Simple right? Again not really. Another team will be atop the Hill with Spartan Lasers , Sticky Grenades, and Fuel Rod Cannons. Your only hope it to get the right timing and boost from one of the Three main lifts to win the game!

#2: Purple Bunker

The Next Two, requires that you have expert teamworks, If not you will lose. Purple Bunker by BlOOdf1r3, pins you against a even advance force of super zombies. There speed might make you think otherwise but the true fact is that they cant die, nor if you let them they’ll come to kill your whole team. Your only defense, is your trusty needler.  With the  power of the Purple mist you can hold and/or push back the advancing forces. However, the Zombies are alone without items of use. They’ll have Bubble shields, Deployable Covers, Spawning walls, and the ever so important Custom Power-up. The power-up give one lucky zombie the speed to quickly ascend the stairs and kill the opposing team!

#1: Cave Freaks

The Mother of all Mini-Games. Created By Insane54 and Shock Theta, Cave Freaks was even privileged to be posted on Bungie Favorites, next to other great maps.

Like i said in ‘Purple Bunker’, teamwork is essential. Without it you will ultimately fail you and your team. This is for players who wan more then just fun, this is a serious mini-game of tactics and strategies. Your Plane has crashed on a deserted ice-field on some where planet. Your team of 5 must get to the extra helicopter in the secret underground bunker, supposedly somewhere on this planet. One of your team mates will be the ‘VIP’ or ‘Very Important Person’, without him you and your team will never make it to the end.

Also to be known is that your team isn’t alone of the Planet. Other Natives live here and are ready to attack at any moment. There grow to use there natural invisible to hide from you however its not fully developed, being why you can still see them.

Simply get your VIP through all the CheckPoints safely, and win the game!

• Torpedo Jumpers – Jump for your life when faced with flying propane tanks flying at you!
• Original Jenga Tower – Can you Survive a simple game of life-sized Jenga?
• Teamwerks Arena – Go in as a team, die with them or win.

My Review:

Your thrown right in the middle of it all. Your abducted, and you need the help of your cellmate, and other prisoners, to escape the clutches of the aliens. From Cell, to Steamworks(Under belly), to the bridge itself, its a new and exciting new adventure. The weapons are pretty interesting, and extremely useful. One note id say it, try not to use your weapons from the Wastes They will break alot and waste ammo that you cant really replenish. So stick with the Alien weapons when you get them.

One thing that happen though was when starting in my cell, my cellmate was is a bug and she wouldn’t move. Nor even get to new dialogue. So i had to start back to my last checkpoint, which wasn’t long away but still rather annoying. On a Lesser not, if you play on Normal and below then this is fairly easy to get through. However if you played and beat it on “Very Hard“(like me), then there is a true challenge here for veterans.

Alright so this is the first guide of many to come that are refurbished and new for the Public’s eyes! Now for to start this off I would like to go more into the Runescape Achievements for Free World players to get. Now more ‘Payed Members’ Know where most of this is, making it a cake walk. But this is more for the part of the community that are new or don’t know what to do/where to go. I’ll try to go into as much details as possible to get you guys through this! Screenshots will be used when explaining. It’s hard to come by, but ill still try to explain to the best of my abilities!

First before you can Start this you’ll need to talk to Explorer Jack. He is found were i circled on the Screenshot below.

Beginner

(Note i wont into much detail, being it explains most of this in the beginner scroll on Runescape)

*Climb to the Highest Point in Lumbridge.

*Raise the flag on the roof of the Lumbridge Bank.

*Speak with Horacio, the Duke of Lumbridge.

*Speak with the Doomsayer about the Warning System.

*Talk to the Lumbridge Guide.

*Browse the Lumbridge General Store.

*Visit Fred the Farmer’s Chicken and Sheep Farm.

*Mine some Clay in the Mining Spot, north of the Champions Guild.

*Make some soft clay in Barbarian Village.

(Note: IN the village not before)

*Make a pot on the potter’s wheel in Barbarian Village.

*Fire a pot in the pottery oven of the potter’s house in Barbarian Village.

*Enter the courtyard of Draynor Mansion.

*Grind Some Flour in Lumbridge Mill.

*Visit Draynor Village Market.

*Find out about the Rules of Conduct from the  town crier in  Draynor.

*Climb to the top of Wizards’ Tower.

*Obtain a cowhide from a cow  in the field north-east of Lumbridge.

*Have Ellis tan your cow hide to make soft leather at his shop in Al Kharid.

*Craft a pair of soft leather gloves.

*Mine some iron ore from  the Al Kharid Mining Spot.

*Catch a Pike in the river to the east of  Lumbridge Castle.

*Smelt a Steel Bar in the Lumbridge Furnace.

* Search the shed in Lumbridge Swamp.

*Kill a giant rat in Lumbridge Swamp.

*Cut down a dead Tree in Lumbridge Swamp.

*Light a Campfire using Standard logs in Lumbridge Swamp.

*Cook Some rat meat on a campfire in Lumbridge Swamp.

*Craft a Water Rune at the Water Alter.

(Note: I didnt for some reason have a Water Talisman, so I went to go search the G.E., and Apparently people are selling them I wait…)

*Get a replacement Amulet of Ghost Speaking from Father Urhney.

(Note: Just drop the one you have , and he’ll give you a brand me one)

*Taunt the lesser demon at the top of Wizards’ Tower.

*Have Sedridor teleport you to the Essence Mine.

(Note: Gonna Need to have the Rune Mysteries Quest Completed, to get this one!)

*Access the bank in Draynor Village.

*Ask the wise Old Man to check your bank for unnecessary quest-related items.

*Discover what the wise old man is watching through his telescope.

*Defeat a zombie in the sewers under the jailhouse.

(Go near the Draynor Marketplace and find a arrow point to the sewers. Go down and find a zombie to kill! Remember there level 25, so if your near or below that bring good food and armor!)

Reward: Explorer’s Ring 2 and Magic Lamp (1000 xp)

Medium

*Smith a Steel Longsword on the anvil in the Jailhouse.

(Note: Need 2 Steel bars and a Level 36 Smithing.)

*Use the Teleport to L’bridge spell.

(Note: NOT THE HOME TELEPORT SPELL! JUST THE NORMAL ONE! Requries: 3 Airs, 1 Law, 1 earth and 31 Magic.)

*Mine Some Coal in the Mining Spot south-west of L’bridge Swamp.

(Note: Need level 30 mining to mine Coal)

*Cut a Willow Tree , east of L’bridge Castle.

(Requires level 30 woodcutting to cut willow)

*Light a willow log  fire on top  of the L’bridge Castle GateHouse.

(Requires level 30 Fire-making to burn willow)

*Cook a Lobster on the Range in the L’Bridge Castle Kitchen.

(Requires level 40 cooking to cook Lobsters)

*Try to Obtain an ani-dragon shield from Duke Horica.

(If you’ve completed “Dragon Slayer” Quest, then just go ask him for a new one and you’ll get this easily. If not you Need to Start and get past half of the quest to get the shield)

*Mine Some Sliver  from the mining  spot north of Al Kharid.

*Catch a Salmon in the river to the east of L’Bridge Castle.

(Note: Salmon is for Fly Fishing, which means you need a Fly Fishing Pole and feathers!)

*Smelt a Sliver Bar in the L’Bridge Furnace.

*Craft a holy symbol in the  L’Bridge Furnace.

(Note: You’ll need to have a Holy Craft Mold to be able to make the symbol and get this. Requires: 1 Silver Bar , and  level 16 Crafting)

*Get Beefy Bill to bank something for you.

Reward: Explorer’s Ring 3 and Magic Lamp (1000 xp)

Well guys and gals, It’s been a while since I’ve last posted, been having mental blocks and other things as you may expect, but don’t think I’ve neglected you. I still remember the beautiful and luscious XQstudios Blog. And for my newest post, I will be reviewing the item that is sought after by many RuneScape players, The Godsword.

First, before I get in to details, I would like to say how to make one, then after what each one does and what I think about it. I will also add in the Saradomin Sword. It is technically not a godsword, but it is used very often and is still a moderate weapon in my opinion.

For one to make a Godsword, one must have, A, the three shards from the godwars dungeon: Godsword Shard 1, Godsword Shard 2, and Godsword Shard 3, one hammer, and have 80 smithing or can request assistance from another player that has it and one of the four hilts, or B, A Godsword Blade, and one of the four hilts.

Using option a, the player must take all three shards and a hammer to an anvil, then use one of the shards on it. Eventually, after about a 15 second wait and a small dialogue, the player will receive an item called godsword shards. Then the player must once again use the remaining shard on the anvil, repeating the before process, and this time will receive a Godsword Blade. Then simply use the Blade with the Hilt to create your godsword. Level 80 smithing IS NOT required to attach the hilt to the blade. Only to attach the shards to eachother.

Using option b, the player only has to simply use the Blade with the Hilt to create your godsword. Level 80 smithing IS NOT required to attach the hilt to the blade. Only to attach the shards to eachother.

A Saradomin sword can be only obtained from godwars dungeon from Commander Zilyana, or one of the generals in her encampment, bought from another player, received from the party room drop chest, or pked.

Each hilt is dropped by the corresponding God’s Commander/General/Sergeant. For example, a Bandos Hilt can be received from General Graardor or Sergeant Strongstack, or any other monster near the general, but no other monsters outside of the chamber. Godsword Shards can be obtained from any and all Generals/commanders/sergeants/etc in any God’s chamber.

Each godsword has the same stats, the only difference between each one is the hilt, the color of the hilt, and the special attack.

Bandos Godsword – The cheapest godsword someone could buy. It’s special attack allows one to drain their opponent’s stats by what they hit, starting with defence first. This effect does NOT work on npc’s. The special attack also hits +15% more damage than with no special attack, so if your max hit with it no special attack is 45, your max hit with the special attack is 51. This sword is very useful for pvp and hitting some good numbers, but overall not that great for general pvm. I would give it a 4/5.

Zamorak Godsword – Second cheapest godsword. Its special attack ice barrages your opponent when hit, freezing them in place for 20 seconds. There are no other bonuses to the special attack aside from the barrage. Its special attack is very useful in clan wars, bounty hunter, castlewars, and a few other pvp minigames. Outside of those minigames it’s fairly less useful. 3.5/5

Saradomin Godsword – Second most expensive sword. Its special attack uses half the special attack bar, allowing for two per full bar. Its special attack heals the player and recharges the player’s hitpoints and prayer by what they hit. The hp recharge rate is exact hit while the prayer recharge rate is 1/4 of the hit. No additional bonuses to the special attack. There has been some debated conspiracy over this sword’s special attack, some believe that you heal what the system says you were supposed to hit. For example, if you were supposed to hit a 50 on a chicken but since it has 3 hp, you hit three, you still get 50 hp and 12.5 prayer. I have found no proof of this yet, so it is debated whether it is true or not. This sword is excellent for slaying, pvm, and pvp, although it is not recommended that one brings a saradomin godsword into bounty hunter for the fact that it does not hit any extra damage past your max hit. 5/5

Armadyl Godsword – The most expensive godsword constantly. Its special attack drains half the bar, allowing for two special attacks per full bar. Its special attack can hit +25% more damage than with no special attack, making it excellent for maxing out and pking. This sword’s special attack has no extra bonuses. This sword is also good for pvm because it can annihilate something with moderately high hp in one-two hits, the same goes with pvp. A very excellent weapon, its price well suits it. 5/5

Saradomin Sword – The cheapest sword of all the aforementioned. Its special attack shoots two magic bolts of lightning that hit 5-15 extra magic-based damage. A very good weapon for a player that wants to hit fast. This weapon, unlike godswords, is one of the fastest swords in the game. It has the exact same stats as an abyssal whip, except +2 prayer. Very good for players who want the strength and speed of a whip with the ability to train strength. Otherwise, this weapon is quite useless and is a cheap godsword knock-off. If used regularly, it is inefficient because one can hit higher numbers with an abyssal whip for nearly a 6th of the price, plus with higher strength if using a rune defender. 3/5
