Well guys and gals, It’s been a while since I’ve last posted, been having mental blocks and other things as you may expect, but don’t think I’ve neglected you. I still remember the beautiful and luscious XQstudios Blog. And for my newest post, I will be reviewing the item that is sought after by many RuneScape players, The Godsword.

First, before I get in to details, I would like to say how to make one, then after what each one does and what I think about it. I will also add in the Saradomin Sword. It is technically not a godsword, but it is used very often and is still a moderate weapon in my opinion.

For one to make a Godsword, one must have, A, the three shards from the godwars dungeon: Godsword Shard 1, Godsword Shard 2, and Godsword Shard 3, one hammer, and have 80 smithing or can request assistance from another player that has it and one of the four hilts, or B, A Godsword Blade, and one of the four hilts.

Using option a, the player must take all three shards and a hammer to an anvil, then use one of the shards on it. Eventually, after about a 15 second wait and a small dialogue, the player will receive an item called godsword shards. Then the player must once again use the remaining shard on the anvil, repeating the before process, and this time will receive a Godsword Blade. Then simply use the Blade with the Hilt to create your godsword. Level 80 smithing IS NOT required to attach the hilt to the blade. Only to attach the shards to eachother.

Using option b, the player only has to simply use the Blade with the Hilt to create your godsword. Level 80 smithing IS NOT required to attach the hilt to the blade. Only to attach the shards to eachother.

RuneScape Tip #2: Armor

Posted in Runescape with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on 05/26/2008 by brendles

The second RuneScape tip!

In this tip I will be comparing the different types of armor and which is best for each player. (Note: this tip covers mostly melee armor only since it is the most popular)

Let’s get started…

The following section is for members and non-members

Let’s start from the bottom and work our way up. First off, Bronze.

bronzeBronze Armor: Defence Level Requirement: 1. Completely useless unless you have no possible way to make money whatsoever, usually worn as a joke, or skillers wear to show their pride of being level 3.

ironIron Armor: Defence Level Requirement: 1. Great use for level 1 defence pures, costs next to nothing, has the same level requirement as bronze, and great for lower levels.

PhotobucketSteel Armor: Defence Level Requirement: 5. What I would like to call the “Turning Point Armor”, basically meaning in br3ndl3ssp33k that a player wearing steel will either, A. wear it for as long as they play runescape, or B. will become a much better player and move on to better armors. Cheap and very effective, not recommended for pures who want an extra combat level because of defence.

blackBlack Armor: Defence Level Requirement: 10. Should only be used by players who are willing to spare 8k gp+. Does not sell or buy very well but has great stats for the defence requirement, not recommended due to cost and defence requirement. If you’re strapped for cash, Stick with steel until 20 Defence.

PhotobucketMithril Armor: Defence Level Requirement: 20. This is where pure armor ends. 20 Defence is probably the highest a low defence pure would like to go with non-members. Great armor, costs a bit less than black and has much better stats.
